Four board members from the Malawi Project will spend all or a portion of the month of September in Malawi. They will see first-hand the new Distribution Hub they have helped build west of the capital city of Lilongwe. Two forty-foot containers are on-site beside the nearly completed building, and a third one has recently unloaded a full trailer of food that will be distributed during the months of January, February, and March when low yielding food sources have exhausted food reserves from recent harvests. A large number of mobility units from Mobility Ministries are on site and will begin making new homes in all three regions of Malawi.
Additionally, board members will see the progress made with the grain storage buildings of the Joseph Projects and learn more details about the 4th site selected by the Action for Progress board for another of the community grain storage areas.
These are only two of the areas that will be visited by the board members, but no matter where they go, and what they do, they can expect an overwhelming reception by the children of Malawi.
