Dorothy Chuma is one of silent victims of eye problems. She has suffered with only partial sight for the last two years.
After a diagnosis at Zomba Central Hospital in southern Malawi, Dorothy was advised to obtain a pair of glasses. She followed their advise, but in time the glasses were no longer effective. The problem grew more severe, and in time she was back where she could not see well or even read. The time she could not afford to purchase another pair of eye -glasses.
Recently, with support from the Malawi Project Dorothy was provided a pair of eye-glasses. “Now I can read again,” she said with a big sigh of relief. As she looked up with her new glasses she smiled with a better hope for tomorrow.
